Members have had the honor of opening for and performing alongside legends such as Wayne Cochran and the CC Riders, Ginger Baker, Ron Carter, Paul Shaffer, Chuck Berry, and even the Broadway musical Godspell.

Freddie “G” Gasparini

Bandleader/Founder

Freddie “G” Gasparini is the talented bandleader, vocalist and arranger who established the Freddie G & Soul Express band in 2021. Freddie is a harmonic mastermind who plays everything from classic rhythm and soul, ballads, blues, pop, rock & roll, and more using his collection of keyboards and pianos. Freddie is also a great vocalist who can be heard singing lead vocals and background vocals on songs in the band’s vast repertoire. His passionate energy, piano playing and solos will move your spirit every time, leaving you wanting to hear Freddie G perform time and time again.

Geneiva Allen

Lead Vocalist

Geneiva C. Allen is a singer, actress, and songwriter. As the lead vocalist with Freddie G & Soul Express, she is also an accomplished actress, and a vocalist of remarkable range. Her extraordinary repertoire spans Pop, R&B, standards, jazz, gospel, Top 40, and blues. 

Geneiva’s early exposure to dance (jazz, tap, ballet) and regional pageantry prepared her for a professional career in voice and musical theater performance nationally and internationally. Some of her theater performance credits include: The Full Monty, Nefertiti, Aida!, Blues In The Night, Ain’t Misbehavin’, The Strong Breed, Rashomon, and The Pajama Game. Geneiva has been featured as a vocalist on national R&B/hip hop singles and internationally on dance singles. Her voice is powerful sweet and smooth, her range is impeccable, and she leads the band with ease using her poise and incredible vocal abilities.

Marge Griesmeyer

Drummer/Vocalist

Marge Griesmeyer is a phenomenal drummer with amazing and solid time and feel. She weaves the perfect drum rhythms throughout each song, playing seemingly effortless fills and breaks. Marge makes it look easy as she holds the band together and drives them through transitions, peaks and flowing passages.

Marge also fills out the vocal sounds of the band, singing background vocals, all while playing drums like a consummate professional.

Steve Sallaz

Bassist/Vocalist

Steve “The Bassman” Sallaz is as solid as they come. His bass playing is wonderful. He has a great sound; full and resonant, syncopated and smooth, bluesy, deep and rhythmic. Steve’s bass playing makes you feel it deep down in your soul before you realize you are hearing it with your ears. As an integral part of the band, Steve lays down the most solid and harmonious bass playing, all while singing backing vocals!

Steve is a great background vocalist who adds depth to the band’s unique arrangements of Pop, Soul, Rock & Roll, Pop, R&B, and classic music.

Louis Mancuso

Guitarist

Louis “Lou” Mancuso is an important addition to the Freddie G & Soul Express band. He has an excellent musical feel when it comes to playing both rhythm guitar and lead guitar solos. Lou knows how to add the right amount of creativity and richness to his harmonic lines, runs, and powerful leads. It is a pleasure to hear Lou perform his personal style of thoughtful and well-placed guitar playing with the band.

Lou is also a good singer who brings great vocal harmonies and some lead vocals to the musical mix.
